Canoe Hire
Albany and the surrounding area has some beautiful rivers and estuaries, which are best explored with a canoe or a kayak. Hire one of our canoes or sit-on kayaks to experience the peace and tranquility of our rivers. You could also use our canoes or kayaks to try fishing in Oyster Harbour or the Kalgan River. Kalgan River is very popular for bream fishing, and with one of our canoes or kayaks you will be able to get into all the tight areas.
If you are planning a holiday in some other area and would love to take a canoe or kayak, why not hire one of ours, as they are licensed for all of WA waters.
Our Bushranger canoes are very stable and have heaps of space to take all your gear, for a picnic or an over night camp.
Our Mission Surge kayaks are very stable and track very well. These are a two person kayak, which can also be used as a single person kayak.
All our marine hire craft come with a full complement of safety gear so your safety is never compromised!

Please Note:
All 1 day hires are from 8am till 5pm, all half day hires are from 8am till 12pm or 1pm till 5pm. If you require a Canoe or Kayak from 1pm till 12pm the following day, you will be charged two half day hires.

Gary was very competent, efficient & helpful. We made a last minute spontaneous inquiry about going kayaking on the Kalgan river with my daughter on her 15th birthday. Despite having no tow ball or roof rack Gary kitted us out with two awesome kayaks, paddles, life jackets and a nifty soft roof rack to get it all down to the river. We had an amazing day with three teenagers and people we saw out there would have been mistaken in thinking we were a organised family of outdoor adventure seekers when we were just a bunch of pretty clueless city folk being made to look good by Gary. Really recommend the Kalgan kayaking experience. It was just magical out on the river. And pretty hilarious fun as we slowly worked out how to work together paddling…

I had originally booked the larger TD1806 Dinghy from Gary early last year for 3 day. Unfortunately for us the weather the week we found ourselves in Albany was far from conducive to boating so I asked Gary if it was possible to change the hire to just the one day. No drama, no pointing to agreements, Gary shared our disappointment and duly obliged.
At a time when GOOD service levels to customers is hard to find I found Gary not only professional but still kind enough to take some time out to show us where to go and what fish to target around the Albany waterways on a detailed map he provides you. The one day we did get out on the water proved to be very successful.
Albany Getaway have a large range of products for hire that are clearly very well maintained and appropriately stocked with the relevant safety equipment.
All this and a very reasonable rate of hire too.
Will definitely recommend to anyone travelling down to Albany
